Terumi Woods hesitates to call herself an artist. She’d rather say she’s a compulsive creator — fascinated by architecture, urban spaces, and nature, particularly when they intersect with each other.

Through real-world training in an architecture office and the variety of classes she took at City College of San Francisco, she realized there is a real tension between keeping the artistic inspiration alive and the tedium of the details. Her drawings try to represent that tension. Terumi is starting to really play with watercolor, a medium she finds both intriguing and terrifying … and she’s in love.

Julia Shipley is the co- founder of Chickadee Chaps and Broads, a hyper-local micro press. She’s also the author of newly released, Adam’s Mark: Writing from the Ox House a collection of lyric essays about writing and farming. Michele Graham grew up on the border of upstate New York and Vermont but has spent most of her adult life on the West Coast. She has been a paint maker’s apprentice, cheesemonger, graphic designer, and a tiny roadside cafe owner in Baja California. Michele works at an arts non-profit in Portland, Oregon, where she lives with her husband and young daughter. She also creates and mixes drinks at small events and gatherings. She loves food anthropology, cocktails, gardening, photography, knitting, and taking walks.

Lisa Congdon is a San Francisco-based illustrator and fine artist. Raised in both upstate New York and Northern California, she grew to love the trees and animals that surrounded her. That love is now expressed through her colorful paintings, collages and drawings. She is also the author of A Collection a Day, which was spawned from a 2010 creative endeavor. Lisa and her work have been featured in Martha Stewart Living, The New York Times, Dwell, The San Francisco Chronicle and 7×7 Magazine. She lives in the Mission District of San Francisco with her partner, Clay Lauren Walsh, her 10 pound chihuahua, Wilfredo, and her two cats, Barry and Margaret. She works at her light-filled studio several blocks from her home. She’s an avid cyclist, swimmer and vegan. Lisa is represented by Lilla Rogers Studio.
